In 2008/9 Di McNeish was a Specialist Advisor to the government’s Beacon Scheme (Round 10), Preventing and Tackling Child Poverty, and is a C4EO sector specialist on child poverty.

In 2009, Di was a member of the Independent Commission on Social Mobility set up by the Liberal Democrats, and main author of the Commission’s report.

During 2009-10 Di was a member of the team working on Sir Michael Marmot's review of health inequalities published in February 2010. She had a particular input to the recommendations on early years, education and employment.

Di is currently working with NHS London on developing guidance for Health and Wellbeing Boards on meeting the needs of children and young people.

Sara Scott was consultant to the National Centre for Social Research for the Home Office. Feasibility study of surveying victims of sexual offences about their satisfaction with the Criminal Justice System (Sara Scott) 2009.

Sara was seconded to the National Centre for Social Research in 2011 as Head of the Children and Young People's Team.
